Two sequels and an adaptation of youth lit (is that what it's called? God, I'm old!) hit theaters this weekend. John Wick will likely knock out Avengers to take over the #1 slot, something Pikachu couldn't do last weekend. A Dog's Journey, which is the follow up to A Dog's Purpose and NOT this past January's A Dog's Way Home, will probably do less than both of those films. I'm convinced at least one of these films isn't real. Lastly is the adaptation of The Sun Is Also a Star. I think there was some buzz when the trailer first debuted, but it seems to have died off and its screen count isn't very aggressive. Then again, Five Feet Apart was a light sleeper this spring so maybe it can replicate that film's performance.
