Regarding this group, it is of utmost importance to remember they are notorious for strange snubs particularly in the acting categories.  How else to explain Frances Ha getting Best Film, but Greta Gerwig is snubbed?  Octavia Spencer, who announced the noms along with Paula Patton, was also left out, as was Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  Other than that, I'd say they went as expected minus a weak showing from Fruitvale Station.  I wasn't really expecting it to do well here, but it's odd that Spring Breakers only got one nomination.  But, I have to remind myself, nothing is odd with this group.
