Globe Predix - Barbenheimer/Bearcession domination

Bearcession sounds like a porn I once watched.

The 81st Golden Globes air Sunday night at 8PM Eastern on CBS/Paramount+. No red carpet on CBS (the ceremony follows a sportsball game) or E!. I guess that network being owned by Comcast meant they couldn't do one. Does E! even do any entertainment related stuff anymore? Jo Koy is hosting, so that's that.

TV:
Drama Series: Succession
(alt: The Last of Us)

Comedy Series: The Bear
(alt: Jury Duty)

Limited Series: Beef
(alt: Fellow Travelers)

Actor - Drama: Jeremy Strong - Succession
(alt: Pedro Pascal - The Last of Us)
Though I guess any of the Succession guys could win.

Actress - Drama: Sarah Snook - Succession
(alt: Emma Stone - The Curse)
Snook and Stone need to play sisters in something.

Actor - Comedy: Jeremy Allen White - The Bear
(alt: Jason Sudeikis - Ted Lasso)

Actress - Comedy: Natasha Lyonne - Poker Face
(alt: Ayo Edebiri - The Bear)

Actor - Limited Series/Movie: Steven Yeun - Beef
(alt: Matt Bomer - Fellow Travelers)

Actress - Limited Series/Movie: Rachel Weisz - Dead Ringers
(alt: Ali Wong - Beef)
I thing any of them could take it.

Supporting Actor: Ebon Moss-Bachrach - The Bear
(alt: Matthew Macfadyen - Succession)

Supporting Actress: Meryl Streep - Only Murders in the Building
(alt: Elizabeth Debicki - The Crown)

Standup Special Whatever: Chris Rock
(alt: Ricky Gervais)
I think they obviously want a MOMENT with this dumb category.

FILM!

Original Song: "What Was I Made For" - Barbie
(alt: "Dance the Night" - Barbie)

Original Score: Oppenheimer
(alt: Killers of the Flower Moon)

Non-English Language Motion Picture: Anatomy of a Fall
(alt: The Zone of Interest)

Cinematic Box Office Achievement: Barbie
(alt: Oppenheimer)
I mean, since it is the highest grossing...

Animated Motion Picture: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
(alt: The Boy and the Heron)

Screenplay: Past Lives
(alt: Anatomy of a Fall)
Probably my bravest prediction. I think most are predicting Barbie

Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr - Oppenheimer
(alt: Ryan Gosling - Barbie)

Supporting Actress: Da'vine Joy Randolph - The Holdovers
(alt: Emily Blunt - Oppenheimer)

Actor - Comedy/Musical: Paul Giamatti - The Holdovers
(alt: Jeffrey Wright - American Fiction)

Actress - Comedy/Musical: Emma Stone - Poor Things
(alt: Margot Robbie - Barbie)
Though I could see them giving Stone the TV award and giving Margot this.

Actor - Drama: Bradley Cooper - Maestro
(alt: Cillian Murphy - Oppenheimer)
It's so close!

Actress - Drama: Lily Gladstone - Killers of the Flower Moon
(alt: Sandra Hüller - Anatomy of a Fall)

Director: Christopher Nolan - Oppenheimer
(alt: Martin Scorsese - Killers of the Flower Moon)

Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical: Poor Things
(alt: Barbie)
This probably won't make any sense in hindsight, but ah well.

Motion Picture - Drama: Oppenheimer
(alt: Killers of the Flower Moon)
