Ben Affleck's Rain Man meets Jason Bourne bullshit opens. Affleck has done well in October in 2012 and 2014, but I don't see this going anywhere. There's just too many films aimed at a similar audience out right now. (And more to come by the end of the month.) Kevin Hart's concert movie should do fine, but like most of his other movies no one will remember it in a few months time. Max Steel is the third opener and it seems like the type of film that might miss the top 10 altogether. It does have a lot of trailer views on YouTube, though. Fall so far is shaping up to be a big bummer. With the exception of Sully, almost everything has performed below expectations.
