The third installment of the Dan Brown franchise arrives...at the end of October. 10 years ago Da Vinci Code was one of the biggest summer movies and this is where the franchise is now. The real story of last week was Moonlight doing a $100k PTA, kicking off what will hopefully be a very solid run for the Oscar contender. A24 hasn't had much luck at the box-office. Ex Machina and The Witch are their highest grossing films with about $25m each. If Moonlight proves to be a formidable contender for big awards, it has a chance to outgross them. It should be able to top Room's $14.7m.
