Suicide Squad did about what I expected last weekend, though it was heavily frontloaded. It's weekdays so far have been strong so $300m+ is very much in play, but not much more. Three openers this weekend, and all have solid reviews. Pete's Dragon looks like it could be leggy even if it doesn't open huge. Sausage Party might open bigger than what I'm expecting. Florence Foster Jenkins should do modest numbers for the type of film it is. Meryl + August = quite good, but Ricki and the Flash only did okay numbers. This will probably be closer to that than Hope Springs or Julie and Julia.
