Dory's back. The sequel has the potential to beat Captain America to be the highest grossing film of the summer and year so far. I doubt anything else will break $300m. The only thing with the potential is Suicide Squad which I think will finish just under. The next couple of weeks sees the arrival of a handful of films, so legs on everything will be soft. Dory will also be more frontloaded than the typical animated film. Also opening is Central Intelligence providing some counter-programming. It might be helped by being the only major comedy out now.
