Age of Adaline and something called Little Boy are the only wide openers, with Ex Machina expanding after a successful run in limited. The Water Diviner opens in a couple hundred theaters, perhaps hoping to replicate Woman In Gold's surprisingly decent run. I have no idea what any of these movies will do. Adaline seems likes something that would have done well with a decent release date and a more famous actress (say, Natalie Portman or Anne Hathaway) in the lead. I really want to see Ex Machina, but A24 hasn't had much luck expanding their films. Plus, Avengers is opening next weekend. Probably should have opened it in March.
