MOVIE THOUGHTS:
So...some surprise snubs more than anything.  Outside of Salmon Fishing getting an oddly strong showing, I don't think there's anyone that is a genuine surprise.  Mostly snubs:  Matthew McConaughey is probably not getting the Oscar nom after all.  This should have been an easy nom for him, but I guess he'll get in next year for that movie he's lost all the weight for.  Quevenzhane Wallis - again Globes don't really care for child actors and many have been calling this snub all along.  Outside of that Stand Up Guys song and the aforementioned Salmon Fishing, there's surprisingly little shocks.  Maybe De Niro missing, too?  And Rachel Weisz getting in after all.  This is probably the most mellow Globes announcement I've ever seen.  They usually are a disaster with lots of starfucking and unusual snubs, but I'd say this lineup is almost exactly as expected.  Outside of Salmon Fishing LOL.

Oh, Taylor Swift is now a Golden Globe nominee.  So is Keith Urban and Adele.

It was a good day for Nicole and her husband and her nanny Naomi.

TV THOUGHTS: Again, about as expected.  I'm surprised Walking Dead didn't get back in the Drama lineup.  Smash - LOL. At least the Globes are aware new series exist, unlike SAG.  Happy to see Hayden and Connie!  Julianne Moore might finally win a Globe, but she's up against double nominee Nicole and last year's fave Lange.  And wasn't The Newsroom a big flop?  I'm surprised that showed.

Obviously, these are all about the hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.  I hope they have some shenanigans planned for their category.

And the entire show.
