Watch the Oscars!

Gosling rehearses his big number
The 96th Academy Awards airs Sunday March 10th on ABC at 7PM Eastern, which is an hour earlier than usual. The show will have just half an hour of official red carpet coverage beginning at 6:30PM, and an episode of Abbott Elementary will follow the broadcast. E! will be doing coverage starting at 2:00PM Eastern, and will have post-show coverage at about 10:30PM. ABC will also be running coverage early in the day from 1-4PM.

Jimmy Kimmel returns as host for a fourth time.

The producers of this year's telecast have smartly decided to bring back the five previous winners presentation format that helped make the 81st ceremony (aired in early 2009) one of the best ever. I'm a little disappointed they announced the presenters in advance, as the previous time the lineup was kept under wraps. In fact, they didn't even announce they were going to do that last time, but it leaked right before the ceremony. I've been advocating for more past winners for years, so this delivers that. Last year's show was a vast improvement over the previous two, and fingers crossed that this ceremony continues the trend.

Kate and America get ready for some banter

Something we'll see in the next few years...

Yes, O'Hara with 2 seems right.

After years of saying Sleepyskunk should be doing montages for the Academy, they finally listened. This is superb:

Happy Oscars!
