I think everyone and their mother is expecting Spectre to do mid 80's. It's definitely not going to have the legs of Skyfall, though. I'm going higher on The Peanuts Movie than most. In fact, I'm shocked at some of the low-balling. Last week, both Burnt and Our Brand Is Crisis were DOA, both the victims of negative reviews and an oversaturated market for adult-aimed films. Opening in limited this weekend is Spotlight, Brooklyn and Trumbo. I don't see Trumbo going anywhere, so I'd say it doesn't even finish with $10m. Brooklyn will a contender at top categories at the Oscars, so $20-25m seems about right as it should have good word of mouth. Spotlight could be the Best Picture winner, but I expect it to start modestly. I'd say a total around $50m if Open Road plays it right.
