As usual, summer goes out with a whimper.  Labor Day weekend sees strong holds from the holdovers, and that will most benefit word of mouth friendly films like Butler and MillersClosed Circuit, which opens today, only has about 800 theaters and lackluster reviews.  Focus has had unusual luck opening adult aimed films this weekend, but this one isn't going anywhere.  The Grandmaster expands to about 700 theaters and will also land just outside the top 10.  The very generic looking Getaway ("getaway, getaway, stayaway, stayaway") is also going nowhere.  That leaves the remaining opener, the One Direction concert movie, to take the top spot.  I'll do my summer wrapup in a week or so.
