Oscar Nominations: Kate, why not READ this.....

I don't have that much of a problem with these nominations as much as everyone else does. I mean, I sense some awards friends should be on suicide watch.

THE GOOD:
+Milk got 8 nominations.
+Mickey and Marisa.
+The Original Screenplay category - WOW!
+Heath.
+No Clint.
+Melissa and Richard getting in.
+ANNE ANNE ANNE ANNE ANNE ANNE ANNE
+As far as Slumdog, well, at least the MIA song got nominated?

THE BAD:
+No Sally!?!?!??!
+No Woody in original screenplay.
+The Reader gets a Best Picture nominee for basically being a Weinstein production about the Holocaust starring Kate Winslet and having 2 beloved producers that are now dead. Not the actual film.
+The superb Michael Shannon getting nominated for that hammy performance.
+Doubt gets 4 acting nominations.

THE UGLY:
Oh, boy, AMPAS - Did you ever screw the pooch? The most popular movie in 11 years, with some of the best reviews of the year and on a fantastic number of top 10 lists, AND YOU DON'T NOMINATE IT? That's what is really going to hurt. There goes about 5-7 million viewers. Good job. And instead you nominate a movie that was a joke on Extras a couple of years ago?

You stay classy, Academy.
