SAG Dix

SAG announces Wednesday, DGA on Thursday, PGA on Friday, and Globes on Sunday. Will be doing predictions for all throughout the week. 

This might be a year with a very small overlap with the Oscars. SAG has never been overly good to performances in foreign films, and this year we have 5 potential noms. They gave Parasite the Ensemble award, which was the first sign of how big it would be. They also nominated Marion Cotillard for her Oscar-winning performance. Outside of those, their track record with non-English performers is spotty at best. So where that leaves Sentimental Value and The Secret Agent's performers remains to be seen. I insisted Sandra Hüller would make it here two years ago for Anatomy of a Fall, and she missed. If those spots open up to others, how well does Wicked: For Good do? If it's blanked here, Cynthia and Ariana are most likely done for good. (Har har!)

I'm sticking with Stellan. If Lindo wants to make the Oscar lineup, he has to show up here. I really hope it's not Sandler, but this org loves Netflix.

Female Actor in a Supporting Role:

Not sure about this beyond Amy & Teyana. Haven't seen Sentimental Value yet, but I think all (most?) of Elle's performance is in English? If Ingrid does make it, she's safely in third. A'Zion needs this to stay in the game.
