81st Globe Reax!

I think everyone who has ever been on Succession now has a Golden Globe nomination. Congrats.

Honestly, these aren't bad at all.

The Cinematic Achievement category is so dumb. The Color Purple probably took the biggest hit today with no Comedy/Musical nom, and Taraji missing. The Holdovers also underperformed, and this is a group that used to love Payne. And every musical got nominated!

Really only the Saltburn noms feel like old school Globes.

Past Lives was the big winner of the morning, along with the Fallen Leaves actress and her surprise nom.

The 6 noms/category looks to have really helped some animated films. Barbie getting 3 song noms is ridiculous.

The TV noms continue to give me an absolute headache, though I guess they eliminated those supporting categories they added last year. I don't care about the standup category, but I'm sure social media is thrilled.

My Score:
Song: 3 (+alt)
Score: 4
Animated: 4
Foreign: 3
Screenplay: 4
Supporting Actor: 6
Supporting Actress: 5
Lead Actor - C/M: 5
Lead Actress - C/M: 5
Lead Actor - Drama: 5
Lead Actress - Drama: 6
Director: 5
Picture - C/M: 5
Picture - D: 6

66/84 = 78.57%
So adding a bunch of "International" Cinephiles perhaps made these more predictable.
