GLOBE THOUGHTS!

These seem to be a return to the crazier Globe nominations that the past couple of years have avoided.

Simon Hedburg may be the biggest surprise of the morning, followed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. (Not Michael Shannon?) Tom Ford's bribery really paid off.

Jonah Hill and Lily Collins getting nominated for films that either bombed and/or no one remembers.

Poor Kate Beckinsale, she was really working for it. And given her category, should have been a shoe-in. Happy Steinfeld made it.

Mel Gibson might happen. With #OscarsSoWhite skipping a year, that will probably be the big controversy. Casey Affleck might be able to breathe easy if Mel is there to make him look less skeezy.

This only further solidifies Manchester, Moonlight and La La as the frontrunners.

The acting nominees, both film and television, are very diverse. Not just black and white, either. Good.

Lauren Graham :-(

Not too good.

ETA: Last year, I did 66.1% overall. 70% (again!) in film. The year before = 69.6% overall. So, I improved from the past two years. Kinda surprising. 2013, I didn't do TV, just film. Got a 75% there. Maybe I need to just concentrate on film.

Oh well. On to SAG Nominations on Wednesday...
