Box: Sulu is now gay??? Hollywood PC-ness is out of control. When I see movies, I don't need to be reminded that women can bust ghosts, people can be gay and there are minorities in the world! Won't someone please shit in my mouth?

*Absolutely Fabulous - $2m / $2m / $7.5m

Three openers. Star Trek has a huge pricetag, but should be fine thanks to international grosses. Ice Age 4 (5? 6? I have no idea) probably will have trouble given how huge Pets and Dory have done. Lights Out could be a leggy sleeper. Reviews are great and the genre is one of the few reliable performers this year. The latest Dinesh D'Souza. or whatever the fuck his name is (I'm not wasting my time googling it), cinematic abortion arrives. It did well last week. Cafe Society did even better, though I'm not sure how big of an expansion that will get this week. Absolutely Fabulous opens in about 300 theaters. No idea how much of a fanbase it has in America, so it's number is hard to predict.
