Paper Towns will test the drawing power of John Green. Pixels seemed like a breakout earlier in the summer, but reviews are terrible and buzz has died. Though when has that hurt Adam Sandler before? It probably doesn't help that it looks like something that would do well if it were PG instead of PG-13. Southpaw might not even break into double digits. It needed stellar reviews to stand out and its reaction is tepid at best. Minions and Inside Out are locked in a competition to see which will be the highest grossing animated film of the summer. Trainwreck did very well and looks to have legs in store. Outside the top 10, Mr. Holmes did very well last weekend and could have a leggy late summer run if word of mouth is decent. It might even make the top 10 this weekend.
