SAG PREDICTIONS!

Announced at 9AM Eastern tomorrow morning by Ansel Elgort and Eva Longoria.

I'm going to attempt to do some TV predictions for both this and the Globes. Why not? SAG TV noms are usually the worst thing about award season so I'm not taking them too seriously.

FEMALE ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES:
Julie Bowen - Modern Family
Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Veep
Allison Janney - Mom
Kate Mulgrew - Orange Is the New Black
Taylor Schilling - Orange Is the New Black
Alt: Mayim Bialik - The Big Bang Theory

MALE ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES:
Andre Braugher - Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Ty Burrell - Modern Family
Louis CK - Louie
Jim Parsons - The Big Bang Theory
Jeffrey Tambor - Transparent
alt: Andy Samberg - Brooklyn Nine-Nine

ENSEMBLE - COMEDY SERIES:
The Big Bang Theory
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Modern Family
Orange Is the New Black
Veep
alt: Parks and Recreation

FEMALE ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES:
Viola Davis - How To Get Away With Murder
Jessica Lange - American Horror Story: Freak Show
Julianna Margulies - The Good Wife
Kerry Washington - Scandal
Robin Wright - House of Cards
alt: Claire Danes - Homeland

MALE ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES:
Peter Dinklage - Game of Thrones
Woody Harrelson - True Detective
Matthew McConaughey - True Detective
Kevin Spacey - House of Cards
James Spader - The Blacklist
alt: Clive Owen - The Knick

ENSEMBLE - DRAMA SERIES:
Downton Abbey
Game of Thrones
The Good Wife
House of Cards
Mad Men
alt: True Detective

FEMALE ACTOR - MINISERIES / TV MOVIE:
Maggie Gyllenhaal - The Honorable Woman
Frances McDormand - Olive Kittredge
Julia Roberts - The Normal Heart
Alison Tolman - Fargo
Cicely Tyson - The Trip To Bountiful
alt: Some old British lady. I really have no fucking clue. (ETA: I'll go with Kristen Wiig - The Spoils of Babylon.)

MALE ACTOR - MINISERIES / TV MOVIE:
Matt Bomer - The Normal Heart
Benedict Cumberbatch - Sherlock: His Last Vow
Martin Freeman - Fargo
Mark Ruffalo - The Normal Heart
Billy Bob Thornton - Fargo
alt: Bill Murray - Olive Kittredge

AND NOW FILM!!!!!

MALE ACTOR - SUPPORTING:
Robert Duvall - The judge
Ethan Hawke - Boyhood
Edward Norton - Birdman
Mark Ruffalo - Foxcatcher
JK Simmons - Whiplash
alt: Christoph Waltz - Big Eyes
NGNG: Chris Pine - Into the Woods
The only other option would be Josh Brolin. Maybe, but I think it's one of those 5 or the alt.

FEMALE ACTOR - SUPPORTING:
Patricia Arquette - Boyhood
Laura Dern - Wild
Keira Knightley - The Imitation Game
Emma Stone - Birdman
Meryl Streep - Into the Woods
alt: Jessica Chastain - A Most Violent Year
NGNG: Tilda Swinton - Snowpiercer
Same story as supporting actor. Kristen Stewart had some buzz, but it seems to have died. Maybe she'll show up Thursday morning. Carmen Ejogo might be a contender, but Selma was screened awfully late.

MALE ACTOR - LEADING:
Steve Carell - Foxcatcher
Benedict Cumberbatch - The Imitation Game
Michael Keaton - Birdman
David Oyelowo - Selma
Eddie Redmayne - The Theory of Everything
alt: Timothy Spall - Mr. Turner
NGNG: Ben Affleck - Gone Girl
A lot depends if enough of them saw Selma in time. If not, Bradley Cooper has a shot, too. I haven't seen Nightcrawler, but I'd for Jake to get in.

FEMALE ACTOR - LEADING:
Felicity Jones - The Theory of Everything
Julianne Moore - Still Alice
Rosamund Pike - Gone Girl
Hilary Swank - The Homesman
Reese Witherspoon - Wild
alt: Amy Adams - Big Eyes
NGNG: Shailene Woodley - The Fault In Our Stars
Reese, Julianne, Rosamund and Felicity seem locked. The last slot is up for grabs between Amy and Hilary, though Marion Cotillard could surprise. If she does, she's probably getting an Oscar nom.

ENSEMBLE:
Birdman
Boyhood
Gone Girl
The Imitation Game
Into the Woods
alt: Selma
NGNG: Interstellar
Again, Selma might have been too late. Theory of Everything could pull a Dallas Buyers Club / Black Swan and show up here, thus showing its strength during award season. Grand Budapest Hotel would be a nice surprise.
