Movie I'm Looking Forward To: "The Final Girls"

I rarely post movie news much anymore, but this has been a project that stole my attention when I first heard about it.  And now it's moving forward in a big way.

The Final Girls

Taissa Farmiga and Malin Akerman lead a cast that now also includes Adam Devine, Alexander Ludwig, Thomas Middleditch and Nina Dobrev.  The film will be directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and was written by Mark Fortin and Joshua John Miller.  The last I heard of the film, it was announced that the script had become a hot commodity.  Described as a cross between Back to the Future and Friday the 13th, Final Girls focuses on a young woman who, along with her friends, is transported into a 1980's horror movie that starred her recently deceased mother.

Sounds pretty fun, right?  Akerman and Devine have the perfect look for an 80's era slasher film, as based on the full synopsis they are the only people who are actually in the movie within the movie.  Everyone else is pulled in Pleasantville-style.
