Anne wasn't in my top 10 choices for the role (Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams or Vera Farmiga would be my preferences) but, as you can tell from my previous posts, I love Miss Hathaway. So I'm very happy with this news. In fact, there was a smile plastered on my face for a few minutes after I read it. Hathaway will join Tom Hardy (yum) as the new cast members in The Dark Knight Rises in July of 2012. Though its been unconfirmed, there still is said to be another female role in the film that hasn't been cast. We'll see.
The fanboys seemed to want Scarlett Johansson or Eva Green for the role. I could never picture either being able to play the character, Johansson because her looks are too obviously bombshell and Green because I don't believe she's actually that talented.
Also, here is my list of best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes.
BEST
1. Anne Hathaway - the most fashion forward of the night and a genuine movie star look, this is probably one of my fave things she's ever worn and that IS saying a lot
2. Olivia Wilde - I wish the hair had been different but the dress and shoes are insane
3. Nicole Kidman - perfection, her face and the dress
4. Emma Stone - so fresh and nice seeing an ingenue not having her cleavage hanging out, though I preferred her look at the Critics Choice Awards
5. Hailee Steinfeld - tennis hair, I know, but really cute and I like that she didn't go too precious as many child actors occasionally do
Honorable Mentions: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Elisabeth Moss, January Jones, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Vanessa Williams
Worst:
1. Sandra Bullock - terrible bangs, dumb dress
2. Leighton Meester - she's a pretty girl, why does she go out of her way to look terrible?
3. Halle Berry - I'm sorry, this isn't a dress
