17 / 23. I'll have to look up my previous scores. I know I got 22 twice.

I thought that was actually a fairly decent show! Kimmel was solid, the second half moved, the performances were good, the staging was GREAT, and the winners seemed quite enthusiastic. There were some historical wins. As expected, the "Naatu Naatu" performance went over like gangbusters. The crowd was INTO that. Not a great night for fashion, though. Am I the only one who thought Matt Damon was going to be in the bear costume? Ecstatic for Sarah Polley!

Crazy that so many films went home empty handed: Banshees, Fabelmans, TAR, Elvis. I don't think the overall winners are great, and EEAAO is the first film in 95 years to win 6 above the line awards. How great is it that the Best Picture winner opened in March?!?!? Happy for JLC, but that win will age poorly. But...

MICHELLE. FUCKING. YEOH.

So happy.
