Okay show, standard for SAG. (I say this every year.) It was nice having an actual award show back, seemingly no different than before. The red carpet, in particular, felt the same as it used to. Very welcome. E! actually did a red carpet for this, the first time they've done it in four years. Overall good speeches, and the winners are a reminder of how far Hollywood has come in the past half decade or so. It was kind of shocking Squid Game won for individual acting, but lost the ensemble. The reverse would have made more sense. I've know I said this before but STOP IT WITH THE TRAILER CLIPS for the Ensemble categories.
My fave moment of the night may have been the Romy and Michelle reunion of Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino. I didn't even think of this while looking at the presenters list last week, so it was a lovely surprise. Their bit was super cute, too.
