Blue Jasmine scored a massive $100k+ PTA last weekend, and Sony Pictures Classics announced it is going wide August 23.  I could see them pushing that up if it does $1m+ in 2 dozen or so theaters it expands to this weekend.  Fruitvale Station did okay in its expansion, and we'll see how leggy it is from here on out.  It looks to be hit about $25m.  The Way Way Back is translating to light mainstream success and will end with $20m+.  The Wolverine underwhelmed, but word of mouth seems to be decent so it should come close to X-Men: First Class's $146m gross.  2 Guns is resting entirely on its star power and while Mark Wahlberg's two films this year both underperformed, Denzel is still on a hot streak.  The Smurfs grossed $142m two years ago, but it should be noted it had the late summer market to itself.  The Smurfs 2 has Turbo and Despicable Me 2 still performing, and next week brings Disney's Planes.  It being most live action might help it stand out, but I doubt it comes close to the first film's gross.  Thank god.
