9. Pain and Gain - $1.4m / $49.5m / $53m
10. The Croods - $1.3m / $179m / $182m

Star Trek Into Darkness went a little under expectations, which can be blamed on a lack of interest from younger audiences.  Three openers will make this a terrific weekend.  It's hard to believe 6 installments in, the Fast franchise shows no signs of slowing down.  A $100m 4-day is very much in its future.  Given how frontloaded the franchise has been, it probably will only be #1 this weekend.  The Hangover 3 feels like Little Fockers all over again and will probably see a major step down in gross from the previous installments.  I seem to be the only one who thinks Epic has breakout potential.  It's the first G/PG film in two months (the last one - The Croods - will still be in the top 10) and it has the market to itself for four weeks.  Monsters University, the big family film of the summer, opens June 21.  I'm not saying Epic will do $200m or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if it finishes with $150-170m.  Before Midnight opens in 4 theaters, and will probably score a PTA of around $100k.  I doubt it'll be the indie breakout of the summer a la Midnight In Paris or Moonrise Kingdom, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up doing slightly more than Mud
