Box: I can't wait to see Lana Del Rey awkwardly swaying at the Oscars.

1. Iron Man 3 - $70m / $284m / $450m
2. The Great Gatsby - $38m / $38m / $110m
3. Peeples - $18m / $18m / $50m
4. Pain and Gain - $3.5m / $40m / $49m
5. 42 - $3.5m / $83.5m / $92m
6. The Croods - $3m / $172.5m / $180m
7. Oblivion - $2.5m / $80m / $86m
8. Mud - $2m / $8m / $14m
9. The Big Wedding - $2m / $18m / $22m

Things really get bleak after #3.  Iron Man 3 debuted to a sturdy $175m, injecting much needed life into a comatose box-office year.  Gatsby and Peeples should both continue that, even if neither are giant blockbusters.  Budgeted at about $125m, Gatbsy should finish its run just shy of that unless the mostly negative reviews really kill it in the coming weeks.  It's the type of film that depends on it, but it also is seeing a lot of interest from the youths (thanks, Liz Lemon) because of the marketable soundtrack.  I'll be interested to see how many people go for the 3D.  Elsewhere, Mud is turning into a minor success compared to Company You Keep which flatlined in its expansion.  The studio will add a few more hundred theaters this weekend, and given only one movie opens wide next weekend Roadside should take it fully wide then.
