Week 3: "15 Seconds, MacGruber!"

Shrek Forever After (or Shrek the Final Chapter) opens. Really, who is going to see this? Somehow, it'll open big (not as big as the last 2 Shrek movies - both of which opened north of $100m.) But by the end of summer, no one will remember it. I ended up being totally wrong about Robin Hood's opening, so watch Shrek 4 (or whatever) open past $100m. MacGruber could be a breakout hit. Even with a soft opening, it should have some decent legs. With a budget of only $10m, it should end up being one of summer's more profitable films.

1. Shrek Forever After - $82m / $82m / $255m
2. Iron Man 2 - $25m / $250m / $320m
3. Robin Hood - $19m / $67m / $104m
4. MacGruber - $17m / $17m / $65m
5. Letters to Juliet - $8m / $26.5m / $42m
6. Just Wright - $4.5m / $15m / $24m
7. How to Train Your Dragon - $2.3m / $211.5m / $216m
8. A Nightmare on Elm Street - $2.2m / $60m / $65m
9. Date Night - $2m / $90m / $94m
10. The Back-Up Plan - $1.2m / $36.2m / $38.5m
