Congrats to all the Winners. Maybe this is the first time in over 50 years where both Picture winners don't get an Oscar Best Picture nominee... This is probably the best batch of Globes winners in a long while.....

...which is what makes me so sad to report. I can't believe, can't even fathom how anyone could prefer this press release format to a real show. Okay, if you're a pundit and care nothing more than your score (and if you are, you're probably SOL right now as there were surprises aplenty in this group), then I understand. But really???? How great would Tina Fey have been accepting her Globe? Oh, and after this week's 30 Rock, she so deserved it! What will the headlines be tomorrow? Will we read winners' reactions? Will Billy Bush ever realize what a tool he is?

I feel like when Crash beat Brokeback all over again...

And in the "dream" Globes of the night that I'm trying to run in my head, these women looked great:

Rose Byrne
Marion Cotillard
Julie Christie
Tina Fey
Katherine Heigl
Michelle Pfeiffer
Ellen Page

And didn't Diablo Cody dress crazy? Wasn't Steve Carell gesture to Tina when she won hilarious? Didn't Keira look like she had just given Saoirse coke? I almost thought Helen Mirren was going to hump Daniel Day-Lewis on stage? And howabout Sandra Oh rolling her eyes when they said Heigl's name as a nominee? Javier and Marion's speeches were so moving! And Angelina misprononcing Atonement?
Oh wait, none of that happened. Now, I'm going to go cry.

It's 10:17 and the show should still be going on.

Thanks again, AMPTP!
