FILM!
Female - Supporting Role: Amy Adams
alt: Rachel Weisz
I think Arquette taking the TV award will help Adams here. I've heard a lot of people voting for Emily Blunt, and I wonder if the Oscars had been announced earlier if she might have been able to pull an Idris Elba and actually win.
Male - Supporting Role: Mahershala Ali
alt: Sam Elliot
Elliot feels like a SAG anomaly "veteran" win, so I put him as the alt instead of Richard E. Grant. Though if Elliot does somehow win, I bet a lot of people will think he might be able to take the Oscar.
Female - Leading Role: Glenn Close
alt: Lady Gaga
I think Glenn is sweeping through the season.
Male - Leading Role: Rami Malek
alt: Bradley Cooper
If Bale does win here, he could very well take down Malek. I think the Oscar Directing snub could help Bradley a little in the long run. The controversy over Rhapsody is finally going, so this is one to watch. Also, Malek will be under a microscope, so we'll see how he does...wait for it... Under Pressure.
Ensemble: Black Panther
alt: Blackkklansman
Really, any of these has a chance to win. Sadly. This category really doesn't show the depth of great ensemble performances of this year. If Rhapsody wins here...well, at least it might mean a faster funeral for the film.
My personal ranking of the Ensembles:
1. A Star Is Born
2. Blackkklansman
3. Crazy Rich Asians
4. Black Panther
5. Bohemian Rhapsody
The top two aren't even real ensembles. SAG did terrible this year.
