The Boss Baby opened higher than tracking, while Ghost In the Shell bombed. This week sees two modest openers. I have no idea what Smurfs will do, as Beauty and Boss (there's a movie!) are still doing so well. Going In Style seems like it might be leggy, as there hasn't been a genuine hit comedy since....uh...? One of the big stories last week was how well The Zookeeper's Wife did. Focus is taking the film wide this weekend, and I suspect it'll get a bigger expansion in time for Easter as word of mouth among audiences is said to be strong. The Case For Christ opens in 1000+ theaters. The Christian movie fad, as far as no-budget films go, seems over.
