March in May continues with Kong: Skull Island. Buzz seems rather light, but reviews are solid. I suspect the international gross will be the one to pay more attention to with this one. Logan did very well last weekend, and held strong throughout the weekend. But the real story of last weekend and even right now is Get Out. It dropped only 15% last weekend, and buzz is huge right now. Even with one film opening, I doubt it'll hold as strongly this weekend. That said, it's looking at $150m+ on a $5m production budget. Insane. Outside the top 10 just yesterday, Moonlight became A24's highest grosser. It should end up with $28-29m. La La Land is getting a Sing-Along re-release, so if you feel like singing along to the film's 5-6 numbers...

Next week, The Beast arrives.
