Hidden Figures and La La Land did terrific last weekend, while most of the openers did not. The Bye Bye Man did the best, but it'll be a short lived victory. Patriot's Day underwhelmed, so I guess the Mark Wahlberg-Saves-Us-From-Real-Terror genre is almost done. Live By Night didn't even make the top 10, continuing audiences bipolar relationship with Ben Affleck. Split and XXX3 (I had to actually look up what it was called) will do well. The other two openers are barely getting a thousand theaters and probably won't make the top 10.
