Suicide Squad, despite terrible reviews and tepid audience reaction, will likely threepeat at #1. Sausage Party did very well last weekend, but doesn't seem like it'll have strong enough word of mouth to knock Squad from #1. None of this week's openers seem like they have enough in them to do it, either. War Dogs should do okay, while Kubo will probably have some legs. Ben-Hur is going nowhere. (Speaking of, I'd imagine there would be a lot of controversy about that being remade. I mean, if Ghostbusters causes that much controversy and the fans claimed it was not about them being women but about originality in film. Oh, what's that? There's crickets. I'm shocked!) Last week, some films actually started to show legs. Bad Moms is now set for $100m+. Outside of the top 10, Hell Or High Water did very well and expands to 400+ locations this weekend.
