I guess there are football games this weekend, and it's really fucking cold. That much affect everything, but it still should be a decent weekend overall. The first Taken opened 6 years ago this month, and while the new installment might best it in opening weekend, it probably won't top it in total gross. I'm not certain just how wide Selma is going this weekend, so I played it a little safe. The movie has had some of its thunder stole in limited by American Sniper, so it needs a solid gross this weekend in case the same thing happens next weekend when Sniper goes wide. Inherent Vice expands to a couple hundred theaters, and its performance so far has been a large let down.
