Box: The "Let's Be _____" franchise has unlimited potential.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - $29m / $121m / $190m
2. The Expendables 3 - $25m / $25m / $70m
3. Let's Be Cops - $23m / $35m / $85m
4. Guardians of the Galaxy - $21m / $220m / $275m
5. The Giver - $15m / $15m / $47m
6. Hundred Foot Journey - $8m / $25m / $60m
7. Into the Storm - $7.5m / $32m / $50m
8. Lucy - $4.5m / $107m / $119m
9. Step Up All In - $3m / $12.5m / $18m
10. Hercules - $3m / $69.5m / $76m

Not necessarily a bad weekend for the middle of August considering four films will likely be above $20m.  I wasn't going to go so high on Let's Be Cops but it apparently did really well in showings last night.  TNMT shocked everyone with a big opening last weekend.  It and Guardians gave this summer the bump it may have needed, but we still have a bleak 3 weekends ahead.  What If and Magic In the Moonlight both expand to just under a thousand theaters, but both have been lackluster in limited.
