Meatballs 2 will eclipse Hotel Transylvania's September opening record.  I suspect we'll see an animated/family-friendly film stake out the end of this month from here on out.  Smart move.  Prisoners performed well last week, and based on reactions it doesn't sound like it was too dark for mainstream audiences.  Rush did okay last week in just 5 theaters so its expansion won't be too big.  Enough Said did much better in just 4 theaters.  While I can't seem to find any confirmation, its rumored to be going into about 200 theaters this weekend.  It will probably do pretty well given it has no competition and many of the adult-aimed films of October are dark thrillers.  Don Jon was acquired relatively cheap, so a gross matching JG-L's previous September film 50/50 would be more than enough.  Baggage Claim should also do okay.  Anything that gets Paula Patton to resume her drunken one-woman standing ovations like at the 2012 Globes is okay by me.
