I really like having these on a Saturday night.

Okay show! For the first year on Netflix, things went fairly smoothly. BUT why did they have to copy the most panned part of last year's BAFTA show - where someone (Tan France, in this case) backstage interviews the winners shortly after their win? I would've liked more past ceremony footage or some montages to serve as the unofficial commercial breaks. (Just found out it was apparently so they could run ads for upcoming Netflix stuff for the people who have the Ad Tier subscription. Great.) Love that people got to speak freely and swear, though it was weird they cut out the swearing in the acting clips. Crowd seemed a little subdued. And that bit with a mic'd Lisa Ann Walter...ooof.

Award shows are really going to lean in now and forever more on cast reunions, aren't they? I don't mind it, loved the Devil Wears Prada reunion that did the first category. I LOL'd at Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum being the two who got to do the final award. Love both of them, of course, but how random!?!? The new variation on "I'm An Actor" thing kinda fell flat, and Idris Elba as junior host wasn't too awkward. The clips also were a little longer than they usually are here.

I also LOL'd at Bradley Cooper being brought out as the second presenter to Streisand. And the cuts to Hathaway tearing up in the audience after being the first one to stand for Babs. I see the internet loved Anne crying, too.
