SAG Thoughts!

I went from being kinda annoyed by Niecy and Olivia to liking them. That kind of improv and off the cuff commenting is fine for SAG noms, but don't do that shit for Oscars. (Cue Seth MacFarlane PSTD flashback.) I loved Olivia pointing to a random person in the crowd after announcing Judi Dench and saying "There she is!"

Has Jada had a meltdown yet over Tiffany's snub here?

Of course, Steve Carell was the surprise supporting male nom. I really liked him in that movie and I thought I wouldn't, but it's def a supporting performance and I'm glad to see it recognized as such.

The Big Sick had a great comeback today.

Rumors are flying that The Post had severe screener issues. Though it's fun to think an award show finally snubbed Meryl.

Statistically, the Oscar for Best Picture is between Lady Bird, Get Out and Three Billboards. The "backlash" might take care of the last one, but rules are made to be broken.
