Sometime on Wednesday, Star Wars surpassed Avatar. This weekend will be its last weekend at #1. An amazing run that looks like it'll finish just below $1 billion domestically. Insane. The Revenant expands wide this weekend. The marketing has been great, and Leo is one of the last reliable draws we have. However, legs might not be great as many have already said the Cinemascore will probably be brutal. Also opening is the Natalie Dormer horror film The Forest. Horror films do OK this time of year, but legs will be short. There's also something called The Masked Saint opening in less than 500 theaters. Doubt it tops $1m. The Big Short is reportedly adding 1000 theaters, so it'll probably have the smallest drop in the top 10.
